We came in to switch over from AT&T, with a member on our account out of state. After waiting for approximately 25 minutes, we were helped by Evan. When we talked him through our understanding of the situation, we were continuously interrupted, being told what we were asking did not make sense. We initially came in for an iPhone air, but once in person we were told there would be about $300 in fees to choose this phone, whereas an iPhone 17 Pro would have no cost with the value of our Trade In. We were additionally told we’d be getting $200 for the trade in of our existing phone. After a lot of back and forth, including several interruptions to assist other customers, we were able to get the new phone sorted. Evan told us the cost of Camera Protectors, a screen protector and case were included in the cost so we picked these up here as well.
Once the phone was completely transferred and the old phone wiped, we were told we owed about $300 for the phone. After we paid, we asked again about the trade in value discussed previously. We were then informed we’d only be getting $180 for the trade in, and Evan had forgotten to add it to the transaction. We were told we’d be able to get it refunded as a check, added as a credit on the account, or (of course) utilized as in store credit. When we asked to receive the error in a check, we were informed that he’d need supervisor approval (despite appearing to be the supervisor present in the building). He went to the back of the store before emerging moments later reporting to us that the policy changed and he wouldn’t be able to get us the refund in a check, but we’d potentially get it back in our bill. At the end of the transaction, we were prompted in front of our rep to leave a five-star review.
I’d recommend to others what I was recommended in the store by the reps - go to the Verizon Corporate store in Fort Collins near the Foothills Mall.
